Dear French III Students (current French II students, rising to French III in the fall of 2009) :
Welcome to French III Regents 2009-2010, which promises to be Wallkill’s best French III group ever! I know that you have worked very hard this past year in French II (Mrs. Springer has told me so!) I want to help you remember everything that you’ve already learned about French verbs. To that end, there will be
French Summer Homework on conjuguemos.com
Four times during the summer, I would like you to go on the website and practice the verb conjugations and tenses that you have already learned. Ideally, if you can go on twice in July and twice in August, I think you will find this summer assignment easy.
The first time that you go on, please look at the menu on the left and under “French Verbs” in the “Indicative Mood” please do the following for 5 minutes each:

Print out these exercises and staple them together. From these, you will have six grades, which will be averaged together to form your very first quiz grade in French III. If you are unhappy with any of the grades, you may do as many activities over again as you wish, until you are satisfied. Simply hand in the best of your six, above.
A couple of weeks later, please do the following for 6 minutes each:

Just like last time, I will average these 5 grades together, and they will count as your second quiz grade in French III.
In August, please do the following for 6 minutes each:

Just like last time, I will average these 5 grades together, and they will count as your third quiz grade in French III.
At the end of August, you will be doing the following for 10 minutes each:

These 3 grades will be averaged together and count as your fourth quiz grade in French III.
Remember that if you are not happy with the results of any of these activities, please feel free to do them as often as necessary to get the quiz grades that you want. Just make sure I get them the first day of school.
Please either print out the quiz results and bring them with you to school, or (if your printer is not working) have your Mom or Dad write me a note, telling me what your grades are. I’m looking forward to meeting you in French III in September!
Bonnes Vacances et à la Rentrée !
